A note from the market organisers:

Due to increased personal and work commitments, the four current members of the Woolton Hill Market Committee (Claire, Jo, Sally and Sandra) will be resigning at the end of this year.

Therefore, if the market is to continue, it will be necessary to find a new committee to take over the running of it. We will of course be happy to provide support to the new committee for the first three markets in 2023: January, March and May, however the last market we will be fully responsible for will be our Christmas event on the 23rd November 2022. If, however, we do not have a new committee in place by the end of 2022, then the November market will be the last for the time being.

We are therefore asking for members of our community to come forward and they will need to take over the organising role from us with effect from 1st January 2023. Anyone looking to do this can contact us on whvmarket@gmail.com or come and talk to one of the team at the September event this Saturday (24th). If you, or anyone you know, would like to take this on, please do get in touch, or pass on our details.

As a team we are very proud of how we have grown and evolved the market since we took it on and the significant funds we have raised for local charities and good causes, as well as giving a wider group of producers and artisans the opportunity to meet their customers and sell direct. We have also attracted a new audience with kids’ competitions, seasonal treats and entertainment.

We would also like to thank you for your support for the event over the years and for bringing your unique produce and wares.

We really hope that a new group will enthusiastically pick up the reins and continue to facilitate this important event in the village calendar.
